When not in the studio, writing and releasing music for 40 straight mornings or directing music videos in the middle of the desert, LA-based artist, Dfalt likes to create work in the physical realm. Working mainly with acrylic, oil sticks, and watercolor, Dfalt aims to produce visual works that nod at the darker side of our physical and digital worlds.
Behold! Whole Wheat’s new video from the first single, “Tragic Death”, off of his latest Basement Mold EP. Directed by Dave Mulligan aka Warm Binary, the video shows a day in the life of the singer/songwriter/artist as he grapples with the hardships of everyday life, living in his parents basement. For fans of Daniel Johnston/Sebadoh/Beck.
Experimental soul trio, Ekha, released their debut album, BCWTIOT, via Daylight Curfew last summer to universal critical acclaim. The group, spread between LA and Brooklyn, are now giving away the record for free in the Daylight Curfew store.

Drawing inspiration from the industry that once was, the machines that power today, and the confines of fences and walls, Hudson Rails is a collection of imagery, textures, and energies captured along explorations of these often overlooked environments. The show opens this Saturday at Harvey Counter in Hudson NY.
